Accepted documents for KYC verification

CleverDo can only accept valid government-issued identification documents which include your photograph and both the date of issue, expiry date and issuing authority (this is normally the country i.e. British passport = United Kingdom).

The document you use for KYC (Know Your Customer) verification must be the same document you used to activate your IBAN account (International Bank Account Number). The details must match EXACTLY otherwise you will not pass the KYC and your account will be frozen pending further investigation.

For the KYC (Know Your Customer) verification process CleverDo will accept the following government-issued documents:

  • A valid passport
  • A national identity card
  • A driver’s license
  • A residency card

Special characters are not accepted in names or addresses for activation, for example;

Ñ, Æ, Å, Ø, Ö, Ü, Γ, Δ, Σ,   Ă, Đ, Ư , 诶, 艾弗, 艾马, ß, Ç

Because of this, please use only A-Z when filling in your details. You can find the Latin spelling of your name on most accepted forms of identification.

One of the following documents can be used to prove your current address, if necessary:

  • A recent utility bill
  • A rental contract
